Today I ran 2 miles. I ran at a 6:30 pace for as long as I could. That was only 1200m, but it was a good start. The rest of the 2 miles I ran at an 9:30 pace. This cut my previous 2 mile time down by one minute to 16:35. The one bad thing was that this was done on a treadmill. Next week I will be able to start working out in the early morning to avoid the hot sun here in Arizona.
I think that next week I can run the 6:30 pace for a mile and then the next mile at an 8 minute pace. That would cut off another minute from time. We will see. If I can do that I believe I can get to my goal of a 13 minute 2 mile. I am starting to feel like I am in high school again with these workouts.
